3 Is there a penalty for riding an electric motorbike without a driver's license?

4 Is it necessary to register a license plate for an electric motorbike?

Electric motorbikes are required to register for license plates to be allowed to circulate on the road (Circular 15/2014/TT-BCA). Vehicle owners can register for license plates at the Provincial Traffic Police Department or district/town/city police.

Electric motorbike license plates are designed as follows:

• 140mm high and 190mm long.
• Symbol MD: Abbreviation for electric machine.
• First row of numbers: Symbol of the locality where the vehicle is registered and the registration series.
• Second row of numbers: 5 natural numbers, from 000.01 to 999.99.
