THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT DRIVER LICENSES IN VIETNAM
TYPES OF DRIVER LICENSES
+ A1 class driver's license: Issued to drivers of two-wheeled motorcycles with a cylinder capacity from 50 cm3 to less than 175 cm3.
+ A2 class driver's license: Issued to drivers of 2-wheel motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 175cm3 or more and vehicles specified for A1 driving licenses.
+ A3 class driver's license: Issuing drivers of 3-wheeled motorbikes with vehicles prescribed for A1 driving license and similar vehicles.
+ A4 class driver's license: Issued to tractor drivers with a tonnage of up to 1.000kg.

+ EASY class driver's license: Issued to drivers of passenger cars with 10 to 30 seats and vehicles specified for class B1, B2, C licenses.
+ Class E driver's license: Issued to drivers of passenger cars with over 30 seats and vehicles specified for class B1, B2, C, D driving licenses.
+ Driver's license class FB2, FD, FE: Issued to drivers who already have a B2, D, E class driving license to drive these class vehicles when towing trailers or connecting passenger cars.
+ FC class driver's license: Issued to drivers who already have a C-class driving license to drive vehicles specified for class C when towing more trailers and semi-trailers.
DURATION OF DRIVER LICENSE
+ Driving license class A1, A2, A3: No deadline.
+ Driving license B1:
- The time limit reaches full 60 years for men.
- Term until full 55 years old for Female.
In case the driver is over 45 years old for female and 55 years old for male, the granted driving license is valid for 10 years from the date of issue.
+ Driving license class A4, B2: 10 years from the date of issue.
+ Driver's license class C, E, D, FB2, FC, FD, FE: 5 years from the date of issue.
