All You Need To Know About Driving License In Vietnam
What do you know about the regulations on studying, issuing and changing driving license in Vietnam? In today's article we will share all the most important information that you need to know when you want to learn driving license.
AGE, CLASS AND CONDITIONS FOR GRANT LICENSE IN VIETNAM
Driver's age
+ Persons aged 16 years and over are allowed to drive motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of less than 50cc
+ Persons aged 18 years and over may drive two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles with a cylinder capacity of 50cc or more, trucks and tractors with a tonnage of less than 3.500 kg; passenger cars with up to 9 seats.
+ Persons aged 21 years and over may drive trucks or tractors with a tonnage of 3.500 kg or more; driver of class B2 towing a trailer (FB2).
+ Persons aged 24 years and over may drive passenger cars from 10 to 30 seats; Class C drivers pull trailers and semi-trailers (FC).
+ Persons aged 27 years and over be allowed to drive passenger cars with over 30 seats; Class D driver towing a trailer (FD).
+ The maximum age of drivers of passenger cars with over 30 seats is 50 years old for women , and 55 years old for men.
The driver must have a health suitable for the vehicle type and use of the vehicle. This health standard has been presided over by the Minister of Health, in coordination with the Minister of Transport. If you meet the health standards and related conditions, you can apply for a license to study and take the prescribed driving test.
Driving License Upgrade
+ Being a Vietnamese or foreign citizen who is allowed to reside or work or study in Vietnam.
+ Be in good health as prescribed by the Ministry of Health. Have a certificate of driving time and safe driving kilometers according to regulations
Specifically, the regulations on the number of years and the number of safe driving kilometers are as follows:
+ Upgrade your driving license from B1 to B2: 01 year or more of practice and 12.000 km of safe driving or more.
+ Upgrade your driving license from B2 to C, C to D, D to E; Grades B2, C, D, E to Grade F respectively: 03 years or more of practice and 50.000 km of safe driving or more.
+ Upgrade your driving license from B2 to D, C to E: practicing for 05 years or more and safe driving 100.000 km or more.
* Note: Learners to upgrade their driver's license to classes D, E must have a junior high school diploma or equivalent or higher.
Changing and Re-Issuing Driving License
The change and re-issuance of a driver's license has the following 3 cases:
+ For driving license that is still valid or has expired less than 3 months from the expiration date: Change your driver's license WITHOUT RE-TESTING
+ For driving license that has expired from 3 months to less than 1 year from the expiration date: MUST RESISTANCE THEORETICAL IN order to re-issue a license
+ For driving license that is overdue for 1 year from the expiration date: MUST RESISTANCE THEORETICAL AND PRACTICE TO RE-issue a license
