In terms of the dashboard, it looks simpler and more refined. Here we have 1 control cluster for the air conditioning system. This is an automatic single-zone air conditioning system. However, this steering wheel when we run on the road it is also quite stable, it is not too light. However, when we run at high speed, it may be partly because this car is not a car to go too fast, so the feeling of the body of the car will not be as stable as the cars. is different. The central dashboard, we will have two analog clock clusters, the left is the rpm clock, the right is the speed. It is quite interesting that Ford Vietnam puts the speed numbers in a very high position. For example, if we run at a speed of 80km / h, this hand will only be at the 12 o'clock position. The rear seats of the 2018 Ford Ecosport have not changed much compared to the previous life. Because compared to the wheelbase of 2520mm, its space is just enough to be said to be for 4 people.
And if there is a 5th person, it will be a little tight. In the back row, the bottom of the seat is set quite high, so we sit quite comfortably. So when we sit, the upper part of the head is left with a fairly high 1m67 height and there is still a surplus of about 10mm on the head and we are fine. With legroom, it's just enough. However, Ford has improved a bit that is the back of the front seats they concave in to create a little more space for the occupants. Here we have armrests, when we go 4 people. In the rear seats we will not have the air vent on the center axis, but instead we will have 2 buttons to open and close the door. Regarding the Ecoboost engine, we see a little lag on the accelerator, because this is an engine that occupies a very small area with a capacity of 1L and 3 cylinders with its maximum capacity reaching 125 horsepower. However, the torque needed to be achieved at a small rpm when the car crosses the threshold of about 2000 rpm, it will skyrocket.
About the Select Shift gearbox, besides the upgrade compared to Power Shift. If Power Shift is towards a sporty element, Select Shift is for smoothness as well as flexibility in gear shifting. For example, when the car accelerates quickly and achieves a good speed, it can even switch from level 1 to level 3, ie skipping gear 2. The car will operate it smoother, I feel like a CVT transmission. The factor that it puts on top is still the smoothness when operating. Not as sporty as Power Shift's. Because of this, Ford has removed the manual mode for automatic transmission, which means we will no longer have a button to increase and decrease the gear according to the driver's wishes.
